The Comedy Corner Underground – 7 Corners Review – August 27, 2013

A sample of wings “Joey Style” were the signature wing dish of the Corner Bar.   Four standard sauces may be prepared either as regular wings, or cooked Joey Style, which is a multi-step process with several frying, baking and grilling steps.

The result is a less soupy wing that previously tested, but also very tender, with a consistent temperature and flavor.  The skin is a bit more substantial than traditional wings, but the light crispy texture is certainly a capable alternate for the usual saucy wing.  Dry rub taste and texture without the crusty, overly crunchy taste.

Served with a swimming pool sized blue cheese that literally takes up half the plate.  Good celery and carrots along side it.

Missing some heat, but tasty regardless and definitely worth another trip.  Half price special ($4.95) on Mondays for a generous portion (1LB +).
